Energy Supply Security Index: An Analysis for Turkish Economy

چکیده
Energy consumption in Turkish economy has been rising continuously and composition of energy mix will be substantially changed forthcoming periods due to environmental concerns economic sustainability. On the other hand, shortage expected increase because accelerating activities population. In addition, structure markets demand/supply balance Turkey are closely related with financial stability (current account deficit). Therefore, there is need between consumption-economic growth environment duality policy. Conversely, any disruptions supply lead destabilize economy, interruption output suspend social life long term. Accordingly, ennsuring security would helpful for economy. this frame we assesed line Cabalu (2010) on basis intensity, import dependency, domestic production geopolitical risk indicators. Lastly, derived a composite index from them. Results showed that vulnerable terms fossil fuels insufficient huge share national mix. note, policy makers can target possible sources mitigate their effects by taking measures against risks security.
